    Maui County Fair cashier Dancine Takahashi has announced that for the convenience of Fair-goers, pre-sale tickets will be available from August 11 to September 22 at all American Savings Bank locations on Maui, at the Maui County Fair Office Trailer, War Memorial Gymnasium parking lot, Wailuku (Administrative hours are 10 am to 2 pm M-F. Please call prior to coming at 242-2721)

    Pre-sale & Sunday Adult passes are $4.00 ($5.00 at the gate) and child passes (5-11 years old) are $1.00 ($2.00 at the gate). Keiki four years old and younger are admitted free.

    The 2008 Maui County Fair Where a Community Works Together will be held Thursday, October 2 through Sunday, October 5. The Fair gives the entire community the opportunity to come together to enjoy an alcohol-free, smoke-free, and drug-free family-oriented educational event that has plenty of entertainment, delicious local food, and lots of fun! The Maui County Fair is a nonprofit organization supported entirely by corporate sponsorship, local donations, and volunteers. The Fair is also the primary source of funding for many of Mauis nonprofit and community organizations.     Enter Q103 Maui's Got Talent Contest and win $1000 Grand Prize. The Contest starts at 12:00:01 p.m. Hawaiian Time on September 8, 2008 and closes on September 26, 2008 at 5:00:00 p.m. (the "Pre-Qualifying Period"). Fifteen winners will be selected from all entries. There will be one prize of $1,000 won from all eligible entries received during the Pre-Qualifying Period. In order to win the Prize, Contest Winners must appear in front of a panel of judges at the Maui County Fair on October 2, 2008 between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The Prizewinner will be chosen from the Contest Winners on October 2, 2008 at the County Fair by the judges.

    Maui County Fair Parade will be on October 2... MORE
    The traditional Maui County Fair parade proclaims the opening of the 86th Fair on Thursday, October 2, 2008! As usual, the parade is an exciting-extravaganza that brings out all of Mauis citizens, and sets the happy mood for the Fair weekend. Many of you have worked with us in past years and know how the parade operates, so, this is just a refresher. For those who will be joining us for the first time, here is the outline of what to expect.

    The parade will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008, starting at 4:30 p.m. A mandatory meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Centers Gallery Meeting Room from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The Parade will start from the Maui Community College campus, turning right onto Kaahumanu Avenue, proceeding to Kanaloa Avenue.

    Marching Units will disband at the Football Stadium. Mobile Units & Floats will continue on to Keopuolani Park Drive. Mobile units will be allowed to drop off riders in the wide area near the old Maui Zoo, but MUST IMMEDIATELY DEPART. There will be NO STOPPING OR PARKING on Keopuolani Park Drive, except in designated parking areas.

    Known as the Robin Williams of Science in Hawaii, Dale is acknowledged as Hawaiis funniest and most exciting science presenters; he will demonstrate how to make science activities out of simple materials such as straws and plastic bags to entertain and amaze your friends. Dale has made presentations to over 80,000 children and adults throughout Hawaii.
